In my opinion, there’s no city in the U.S. whose energy and fabulousity even compare to New York except for Miami (and ok, maybe Vegas, too). I’m currently writing from 30,000 feet, headed to Miami for a couple of days of work. Luckily for me, work consists of staying at The Setai, making sure I know everythingthat’s hot and hip in the city within 72 hours and meeting as many people as I possibly can.

When my business partner, Jamie, (who also happens to be one of my Besites) and I decided to attend the show, we immediately went into planning mode – one of the things PR people do best – deciding where we should stay.

Other than my husband, family and friends; hotels happen to be my other love — and Miami has some of the most chic hotels in the world. So you can imagine the dilemma of where to stay when Jamie and I decided to come to town. Should we go for the new Fontainebleau or the buzzed about W, both hip and known for their hot nightlife scenes? Or opt for The Delano, a tried and true fave where we’ve stayed before? After much intense chatter over AIM, we decided to go a completely different route and book the Setai – a stylish and sophisticated gem — the Chanel of hotels — where celebs go when they don’t want to see and be seen.

I’ll be galavanting around Miami for the next couple of days so stay tuned…

i personally LOVE the Mondrian Miami. It’s a little bit away from the beach and craziness of ocean drive. it’s tucked on a bit of a hill, across the street from Whole Foods (which has free wireless!) which is great b/c i stay in their studio apts which has kitchens. The pool faces the Biscayne Bay is absolutely stunning and relaxing. Their Agua spa is a great escape too!
